Travis's Birthday

Travis turned 27 on Tuesday! We celebrated by having dinner at home and relaxing. Addie enjoyed rolling around in the wrapping paper. She is still not scooting, but she manages to get around fairly well.

Dinner was cube steak and homemade fries. I was pretty proud of myself for pulling it all together.

Addie's room. I love how it turned out. Charla, thanks for the advice on the stripes.

May

Where does the time go! May was a busy month for us. We bought and moved into a townhome in South Jordan, in Daybreak. We are loving it. So if anyone wants to come visit we currently have one spare twin bed. Travis has decided to go back to school to study accounting. So that leaves me working still at the hosptial. I am glad that I enjoy my job, but I will admit that I am very envious of those of you who are able to be stay-at-home Moms.
To help us save money I have become a coupon freak! If you are interested I would love to share my couponing knowledge. My favorite sites to check are hip2save, freebies2deals and utahdealdiva. It has become my part-time job. I wish that I could stay home and run my own coupon site, but there are alreadys tons of Moms in Utah who are doing that.
Addie is growing. I can't believe how big she is. She is a wonderful baby. Both places that she has attended daycare say that she is one of the best babies they have ever watched. She sleeps for 4 of the 8 hours at daycare, usually. I love her so much! She always gets excited to see me. I will post more pictures of her shortly. I hope you are all doing well.

Updates

I can't believe how much Addie has changed in the last few months. She is now seven months old. She seems to be stabalizing her growth. At her last doctor's appointment all her percentages were in the 50-60% range. She is such a good sleeper. At night she will go for 11-12 hours straight. Now I have to wake her to take her to daycare. I hate waking her up. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps.

Last weekend was the first nice weekend all year, so we took Addie outside. We have heard that most babies do not like grass, so we wanted to experiment with Addie. When I stood her on the grass she was fine. Then I sat her on the edge of the blanket so that her hand would touch the grass. Everytime her hand touched the grass she would make this awful face and then she started to cry, so we stopped being evil parents. She is such a beautiful girl. We feel so blessed that she is in our family!!!

Addie loves to eat and usually is very clean.

Addie is a very good traveler. We took her to a gymnastics meet and she actually watched the first hour and then fell asleep. We also took her on our annual Pocatello Rodeo Trip. She was great. She stayed awake the whole time and only got fussy at the end. She has learned how to pull off her bows which makes me sad. I want everyone to know that she is a girl.

Addie has 2 teeth currently and can sit-up on her own. How can you not just want to kiss that face!

Jogging

I am trying to get back in shape and have started jogging again. I have an awesome jogging stroller that my aunts gave me. I did not realize how difficult it is to push her. I use my arms running much more than I thought I did. I plan on running a 5K with the family on July 4th and pushing Addie during it. Addie thought it was great. She fell asleep halfway through.

Primary Activity

Last month Addie played a part in the Primary Activity. We had A Day in the Life of Jesus. The children went to different stations to learn more about Jesus's life. I was at the first station. I was Mary, Paul was nice enough to play Joseph (Travis had to work) and Addie was baby Jesus. She was an angel and slept the whole time! Since she is still very bald the kids kept asking me what his name was. Poor girl!

Dinner

This was taken back in February. This is how Addie would join us for dinner each night. We love this little girl!

Skiing

Travis and Paul went skiing a while back. It was Travis's first time to go. He said he enjoyed it, but he spent most the time on the ground. He did not have an actual lesson, Paul just gave him a few tips. But Travis said he would go again, so it couldn't have been that bad. It was only $15 to go and it was a beautiful day!
