Addie at our Ward Christmas Party this morning. I was really surprised that she cried. She usually goes to anyone. She did alright, until we stepped away from her.

Update
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. I have a new perspective on Christmas this year. Addie still does not know what is going on, but she sure loves to open presents. It is fun for me to see how excited she gets. I love being a mom!

5K
I do not know how to rotate pictures...sorry. I ran a 5K a week ago with Paul. You could do either a 5K or a 10K. The course was not marked very well, so lots of people (Paul included) did a 10K on accident. Luckily I was closely following someone who was doing the 5K, so I turned when she did. Can you see the time in this photo?... 18:59!!! I was the 5th person to finish the race.
Sadly, I knew that that was an impossible time for me to finish a 5K in. I could not even do that when I was running cross country. So I looked up the official results and I ran it in 25:14. Not to bad, but nowhere near 6 minute miles. I don't think that I will ever be able to do that.

Addie's Birthday
I loaded these pictures in the wrong order. After Addie's party Paul put her inside of one of the boxes she opened and pulled her all around the house. She loved it!

She enjoyed digging into her cake and did not make to much of a mess.

She also liked eating the wrapping paper.
Addie is our wonderful princess. We even had a tiara for her, but she did not keep it on long. She recently turned one. Her grandparents and most of her aunts and uncles were able to come to her birthday party, which was at a park near our home. Addie had lots of special attention and loved it. I can't believe that it has been a year already since she was born! Time is going by to quickly. I keep thinking of all the moments or things that she did that will never happen again. I wish I could slow time down and spend more of it with her.

ADDIE
I know that I need to update a little more often. Truthfully I am terrible at taking pictures. I thought that I would do better after having a baby, but I still don't take as many as I should. Addie has so many cute outfits that I never took a picture of! So when we have another baby I am really hoping for a girl. All these cute clothes need to be worn again.
I have just recently started making some of Addie's hair bows. It is easy and so much fun. I made both of the bows in these pictures. She usually will leave them in her hair for about 30 minutes.
This is how Addie's hair was on Monday when Travis picked her up from daycare. Brooke, our daycare provider, said that she just could help herself since Addie was finally getting some hair! She still is called a boy frequently.

Family Reunion
Last week we had a reunion with my mom's side of the family. It was held in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
We stayed in some great condos with an awesome view!
Julie surprised us and showed up. She is currently interning in Washington D.C. We are so glad she made it!

Addie has become a poser. Whenever you pull out a camera she starts smiling.
She has a great smile.

We took family pictures while we were there and this was her outfit. The photographer said that she was the easiest baby he has ever worked with.

Addie still is quite bald and is frequently called a boy. We gave her a fohock (sp?) to match her cousin Cole. But I couldn't get a picture of them together.
Scott, Brittany, Cole and Addie. Cole is almost a year older than Addie and only two pounds heavier. (Addie is quite the chunk. She was in the 86% for weight at her last appointment, weighing almost 22 pounds.)
We were in Steamboat Monday-Friday, but the only picture I took have Addie in them. It is funny how your life changes when you have a baby.

We had an awesome vacation. We went hiking, tubing, golfing (Travis), and took Addie to the pool everyday. This girl LOVES swimming. We had a great time hanging out with relatives that we don't see very often and playing games.
July 3
We had a great 3rd of July. We started with a 5K. Paul, Katie my mom and I ran a 5K in Sandy. In the afternoon we went kayaking and had a BBQ. The evening ended with Stadium of Fire. Carrie Underwood was the main singer. She put on a great show! Addison did great during the concert and was so exhausted during the fireworks that she just laid on my lap and stared at me.

May
Where does the time go! May was a busy month for us. We bought and moved into a townhome in South Jordan, in Daybreak. We are loving it. So if anyone wants to come visit we currently have one spare twin bed. Travis has decided to go back to school to study accounting. So that leaves me working still at the hosptial. I am glad that I enjoy my job, but I will admit that I am very envious of those of you who are able to be stay-at-home Moms.
To help us save money I have become a coupon freak! If you are interested I would love to share my couponing knowledge. My favorite sites to check are hip2save, freebies2deals and utahdealdiva. It has become my part-time job. I wish that I could stay home and run my own coupon site, but there are alreadys tons of Moms in Utah who are doing that.
Addie is growing. I can't believe how big she is. She is a wonderful baby. Both places that she has attended daycare say that she is one of the best babies they have ever watched. She sleeps for 4 of the 8 hours at daycare, usually. I love her so much! She always gets excited to see me. I will post more pictures of her shortly. I hope you are all doing well.

Updates
I can't believe how much Addie has changed in the last few months. She is now seven months old. She seems to be stabalizing her growth. At her last doctor's appointment all her percentages were in the 50-60% range.
She is such a good sleeper. At night she will go for 11-12 hours straight. Now I have to wake her to take her to daycare. I hate waking her up. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps.
Last weekend was the first nice weekend all year, so we took Addie outside. We have heard that most babies do not like grass, so we wanted to experiment with Addie. When I stood her on the grass she was fine. Then I sat her on the edge of the blanket so that her hand would touch the grass. Everytime her hand touched the grass she would make this awful face and then she started to cry, so we stopped being evil parents. She is such a beautiful girl. We feel so blessed that she is in our family!!!
Addie loves to eat and usually is very clean.
Addie is a very good traveler. We took her to a gymnastics meet and she actually watched the first hour and then fell asleep. We also took her on our annual Pocatello Rodeo Trip. She was great. She stayed awake the whole time and only got fussy at the end. She has learned how to pull off her bows which makes me sad. I want everyone to know that she is a girl.
Jogging
I am trying to get back in shape and have started jogging again. I have an awesome jogging stroller that my aunts gave me. I did not realize how difficult it is to push her. I use my arms running much more than I thought I did. I plan on running a 5K with the family on July 4th and pushing Addie during it. Addie thought it was great. She fell asleep halfway through.

Primary Activity
Last month Addie played a part in the Primary Activity. We had A Day in the Life of Jesus. The children went to different stations to learn more about Jesus's life. I was at the first station. I was Mary, Paul was nice enough to play Joseph (Travis had to work) and Addie was baby Jesus. She was an angel and slept the whole time! Since she is still very bald the kids kept asking me what his name was. Poor girl!
Dinner
Skiing
Travis and Paul went skiing a while back. It was Travis's first time to go. He said he enjoyed it, but he spent most the time on the ground. He did not have an actual lesson, Paul just gave him a few tips. But Travis said he would go again, so it couldn't have been that bad. It was only $15 to go and it was a beautiful day!

3 Month Pictures
We took Addison to Target, before Christmas, to get her 3 month pictures taken. We also wanted to have a family picture taken. We did Addison's individual shots first and by the time we tried to get family pictures she was crying and none of them turned out. I am glad that some of her individual shots turned out well. Some of these were just goofy, so I had to share them. I wanted to get some with the white background, but in everyone of those shots her tounge was sticking out, or she was drooling. It was quite an experience trying to get her to smile.
