Introducing...

First a quick update on Addie. She will be two next week. She loves wearing sunglasses whenever we are in the car.

Addie loves boys. She currently has three that she asks for daily: her cousin Cole (pictured above), my brother Paul (who is nice enough to talk to her on the phone almost daily) and the neighbor Gavin who is her same age.

Addie is a great big sister. She wants to hold and kiss Nathan all the time!
Nathan Travis Porter was born August 28. He weighed 6lbs 5oz, so he was slightly bigger than Addie was. He seems so much smaller, because he was 20 inches long and Addie was only 18. He is a great baby! Days and nights are still mixed up, but he is very patient and doesn't seem to mind Addie smothering him.

We are thrilled that he is here. I do not have to go back to work until December. And wonderful news that we should have shared much sooner... Travis has been hired full-time by Adobe. He is working as an accountant and still pursuing a MAcc at the U. So Travis now has benefits and I plan to only return to working one day a week!!! I am thrilled. This is such a huge change. I am used to going constantly and now I need to learn how to manage my time at home. This might sound dumb but it is out of my comfort zone to talk to stay-at-home moms. I am so used to working and dealing with patients. This is going to be an adjustment, but one that I am looking forward to.

Weekend Round-up

Addie's Easter dress. Daddy had to get her ready by himself, because I had to work. I made him promise to take pictures of her in her dress.
Katie and Andy cutting the cake. Katie looked gorgeous!
Paul was so nice to watch Addie most of the weekend. He and Julie took Addie on a walk while we were at the Joseph Smith Building.
Cernterpieces, her colors were pink and green
I love this picture. Andy comes from a big family and is one of the youngest. These are all his neices and nephews, plus Addie and Cole. All the boys had green ties and the girls these adorable pink dresses.
Lunch at Rodizio's after Julie's graduation. Addie was very friendly to every server who came by.

Julie's Graduation

Julie graduated with her MPA last Friday. She is now back in Africa as a TA for the next few weeks. She has been interviewing in locations far from Utah. We wish you the best Julie. We love you.

This is how Addie was entertained during the ceremony.

Katie's bridal shower

We had a bridal shower for Katie at my place a few weeks ago. Katie and Andy, otherwise known as "Kandy", were married last Saturday. It was fun to decorate and do something nice for Katie.

Addie loved helping Katie open everything.

Kitchen

Addie loves to eat and loves helping in the kitchen. When I tell her to go grab a chair she pushes a chair over the counter and tries to assist, but mainly eat what I am making.
Addie grabbed an apple out of the fridge, when it was open. This is all that remained.

Get Away

Over President's Day weekend my mom rented a cabin for the family in Midway. It was so much fun to have a little get away. We ate tons, played in the snow and relaxed. Addie was just getting over RSV and an ear infection. She had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics and had a rash all over her body. She was still a great sport anyway. On the last day we went tubing at Solider Hollow. You sit in your tube as the lift pulls you to the top of the hill. No exercise is required!
Addie's favorite part was eating afterwards
Chilling with Cole. He was so nice to Addie. They had their own miniture hill to slide down. Cole would put his arm around Addie as they went down the hill.
Just relaxing

Chistmas pictures

Here are a few pictures from our holiday.
My brothers put Addie in the basketball game. She loved it.

She began playing the piano at Grandma Porter's home.

She also currently prefers to play with cars over dolls.
