Colors

Rachel, your true color is Black!
Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.
This makes me sound truely mean, but Travis said it describes me well.

Travis took the test as well. He sounds so much nicer than I do. I sure married a great guy. This is how he was described.
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

BYU

This week Katie found out that she was accepted to BYU. I couldn't talk her into living in Helaman Halls. She is trying for Heritage. I can't believe that she is already that old. Now she can make fun memories like I did. Each of you helped shape who I am. Charla, you had the most impact on me and I think you are wonderful. Do you remember when I would roll my eyes when you said something that I considered inappropriate. Now when I talk about something that might be considered gross or perverted Travis looks and me and asks, "Did Charla teach you that". Travis is even more conservative than I am about certain things. I miss you all very much. I can't believe all the different paths we have taken in life. I think about you all often.

Resolution

At the new hospital we have soda on tap. I have become a huge diet coke (especially with lime) fan. My resolution is to see how long I can go without having any soda. I think it would be a good goal to try for atleast six months.

Eyebrows

I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time ever. What do you think? They actually look pretty skinny to me, but now I feel so smooth. My eyelids remained red for almost 24 hours.

This is our decorated apartment. I am glad that we went somewhere else for Christmas.

We spent Christmas Eve with Travis's family in Evanston. We drove up there during a snow storm and it took over two hours to get there! Then we spent Christmas with my family.

Paul got a Wii for Christmas. We were both really sore the next day after playing so long. It is so much fun!

My mom's Texas tree is in the background.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Neither of us had very much time off of work, so it was a very short holiday.

Life

Intermountain Medical Center opened on Monday. It was a smooth transition, but I have been working like crazy. We are very shortstaffed, so my department was told that we can not take a vacation throughout the holiday season. Travis works with the basketball team constantly, especially on the weekends. So I was reminscing about the trips I have been on in the last few years. Here are a few pics. I did not have enough room to share all that I wanted, such as wedding and honeymoon, but here are a few good ones.
I went on a cruise last March with my roommate. This was on a zipline in Roatan.

This is Tulum (I am sure that I spelled that wrong). Anyway ancient ruins in Central America.

I threw this one in for fun, Travis and I at our Halloween Party in 2006.

Horseback riding in Sun Valley for my roommates birthday. It was freezing. And that is a very expensive city!

Time Square October 2005. I have never been to NY when the weather has been nice.
