Nephew

Scott sent me some updated pictures. I am a proud aunt!!! I think that Cole is the cutest baby. Cole is now three months old and over 15 pounds. We are so excited to have him in our family. Whenever he is around there is a long line waiting to hold him.

Wash

My day off during the week never seems like a day off. Today I did eight loads of laundry and three hours of ironing. (I hate ironing). Anyway, I used to get frustrated with Travis leaving things in his pockets. I always empty my pockets before putting my clothes in the laundry basket...except for today. I did a load of gym clothes. I had a feeling that I should check the pockets, but I didn't and sadly when I went to transfer the clothes to the drier on top of my sweatshirt was my Ipod! Needless to say it no longer works. I am collecting funds to buy a new one. All donations will be accepted.

Cruise

My mom decided to plan a family trip since Ryan and Julie returned from their missions. We found the best deals over Thanksgiving break. I missed the lavish turkey dinner, but we had a blast on the trip. We went on a cruise. It left out of Puerto Rico and traveled to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados.

The prettiest island was St. Thomas. My favorite excursions were on Antigua (we did a zipline followed by a ropes course) and Barbados (we went snorkeling with turtles and at a ship wreck).

Crusing is awesome. I had been on one other cruise before, but this one was better. There is so much to do one the boat and food is available 24/7 with incredibly fancy dinners.

We had a different towel animal each night to greet us.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico, we were glad that we had Ryan to translate for us on the trip. Most of the taxi drivers spoke Spanish.

Travis had a steel drum lesson from a local at St. Thomas. I thought of you Kat.

Zipline Challange at Antigua

The zipline was awesome, but the ropes course afterwards left me exhausted!

We only had a minute to look around Barbados. This was on Thanksgiving Day. We went on an excursion snorkeling with turtles and at a ship wreck. I wished that we had an underwater camera. The turtles were so close to us. Travis bumped into them while swimming. The ship wreck was a French ship from WWI. It was the best snorkeling I have ever done.

Busy Week

This was a busy week. Ryan came home from Argentina on Wednesday. We are so excited to have all the family back together. Ryan looks great. He looks so much like my dad. He and Paul now have the same build. They are both short and skinny. Since Paul played football last season he is currently more muscular.
Friday night was the opening night for the Utah Grizzlies. Ryan and Paul went with me to the first game. The Grizzlies won 7-3 and there was a fight!

Thursday night Scott and Brittney welcomed their first baby, Cole Scott Wiscombe. I am thrilled to be an aunt!!! Cole was 8 1/2 pounds and 19 inches. He is incredibly cute.

Now that Ryan is home Travis and I had to give him back his car and phone. I was kicked off the family phone plan, so now I have a new number. I am slowly getting around to calling everyone and sharing my new digits.

Castle Sitting

Travis and I have been "castle sitting" lately. Corianne's, a girl that I work with, in-laws own the Castle Creek Inn. She and her husband are the innkeepers. They live in an apartment attached to the back of the castle. Basically they help people check-in late at night and answer any questions that customers might have after 10:00 PM. Someone always has to be at the castle. So when they go out of town they have to find people to "castle sit" for them. We have done this twice lately and I think it is so much fun. We have never had any problems, only one person has called us, and we get a really nice breakfast each night. It is kind of like a mini vacation for us. The castle is located close to where I used to live and close to work.

Stud Muffin!!!

Travis is loving his internship with the Utah Grizzlies Hockey Team. As an intern he has received all kinds of perks. One of those was a free suit from Mr. Mac. He pickup out the one that he wanted. It was not my first choice. I wanted him to get a light gray. But when he put this one on WOW! We are both very excited about this intership and hope that Travis will make great connections for a job.

Hockey games start this month and Travis will be in the press box during each game. He has to wear a suit for every game. Luckily now he has two to choose from.
