Santa

Santa came to our ward Christmas party. I was excited to have Addison have her first experience sitting on his lap. I thought that she would do great, because she still will go to anyone, but she looked like she was going to cry. At least she did not scream like the little girl that went before her did. We will see how she does next year.

Blessing

Addison was blessed on December 6. It was such a great day. Tons of our family was able to attend the blessing and we appreciate their love and support. I am glad that our little chunkster was not to heavy for everyone to hold. I wanted Addison to wear the blessing dress that my mom and I had both worn, but it was far to small for her. So the day before the blessing I had to go find one that would fit her. We love our beautiful girl and are so glad to have her in our family!Check out Addison's cheeks in this picture.

This was Travis's best smile in all our pictures.

Chunkster

Addison recently went in for her two month check-up. We know that she had gotten heavier, but we had no idea how much she had grown! She went from being in the 7th percentile for her weight when she was born, to the 82 percentile at two months! She has already doubled her birth weight. She now weighs 12.3 pounds. She was also 77% for her head and height. Check out her belly in this picture. We love our little girl. I have already had to pack up lots of her clothes. It makes me so sad. She is growing way to fast, plus her clothes are so cute I wanted her to be able to wear them more than once.

Travis

As many of you know I do not function well on little sleep. So Travis has been amazing helping out with the night shifts. The poor guy is more tired than I am, but he doesn't complain. I typically will only take an hour shift and then pass Addison off to Travis. Then Travis will take a 2-3 hour shift before waking me. He is an amazing husband and he loves being a dad. So I caught a few pictures of Travis sleeping wherever he could. At my Grandma's house on the floor

This is Travis' favorite outfit for Addison. Travis loves being a Dad!

Smile

We love having Addison in our family! We can't believe how much she has changed since she was born. She is such a happy girl when she is awake. She still sleeps much of the day and then is up for the majority of the night. That is why I am blogging at 3 am. When she is awake she smiles tons. We took multiple pictures today trying to catch her smile. (Since I am not very computer savvy these pictures are all sideways).

We finally caught a smile.

Halloween

Addison slept through her first Halloween experience, but I had fun dressing her up anyway. Travis got to experience Halloween at my mom's house with our special dinner out of a pumpkin, dry ice and other fun Halloween foods. My mom has great traditions for every holiday.
Our spider, longhorn and Obama pumpkins. The Obama one is for you Julie.

Addison Kate Porter

Addison Kate Porter was born at 9:39 pm, on Friday, September 25. I went in for a routine check-up Thursday afternoon and my blood pressure was 150/82. My doctor gave us the option of being induced the following day, or on Sunday. So we chose Friday. I went in to the hospital at 10 am. After multiple times trying to start an IV it was successful and the pitocin was started around noon. Labor was much longer than anticipated. Thank heavens for epidurals!!! My mom and Paul and Travis' parents waited outside the room for two hours before she arrived. Addison is a tiny girl. She was born at 6 pounds 2 ounces and 18.5 inches. When we left the hospital she was under 6 pounds and her newborn outfits are huge on her!
Today was her first doctor's appointment. Her weight is almost back to birth weight. She is in the 7th percentile for weight and 30th for head circumference and length. We love our adorable little girl. Proud daddy
