As many of you know I do not function well on little sleep. So Travis has been amazing helping out with the night shifts. The poor guy is more tired than I am, but he doesn't complain. I typically will only take an hour shift and then pass Addison off to Travis. Then Travis will take a 2-3 hour shift before waking me. He is an amazing husband and he loves being a dad. So I caught a few pictures of Travis sleeping wherever he could.

Smile
We love having Addison in our family! We can't believe how much she has changed since she was born. She is such a happy girl when she is awake. She still sleeps much of the day and then is up for the majority of the night. That is why I am blogging at 3 am. When she is awake she smiles tons. We took multiple pictures today trying to catch her smile. (Since I am not very computer savvy these pictures are all sideways).

Addison Kate Porter
Addison Kate Porter was born at 9:39 pm, on Friday, September 25. I went in for a routine check-up Thursday afternoon and my blood pressure was 150/82. My doctor gave us the option of being induced the following day, or on Sunday. So we chose Friday. I went in to the hospital at 10 am. After multiple times trying to start an IV it was successful and the pitocin was started around noon. Labor was much longer than anticipated. Thank heavens for epidurals!!! My mom and Paul and Travis' parents waited outside the room for two hours before she arrived. Addison is a tiny girl. She was born at 6 pounds 2 ounces and 18.5 inches. When we left the hospital she was under 6 pounds and her newborn outfits are huge on her!

Erickson Camping Trip
Travis and I went on the Erickson camping trip this year at Willow Flats, Idaho. We went up Friday afternoon and came back Saturday night. Everyone else was really roughing it and stayed Thursday-Sunday. It was only in the 60's and it rained most of the night we were there. Travis was able to get in a few good four wheeling rides and I was able to go on a hike. We also were the champions in an incredibly long game of Mexican Horseshoes. The food was great. I have never camped in such luxury before! Thanks for letting us tag along.
Canoeing
We went canoeing a few weeks ago with our friends the Leonards. The weather was great and we had a good time, but Travis and I were always far behind the group. I think I am slowing down. We went to a new location, up Ogden Canyon. The lake had quite a few people there that day and tons of cliff jumpers.
St. George
Travis and I wanted to take one last vacation, just the two of us, before the baby came. I wanted to go somewhere not to hot, like Yellowstone. Unfortunately I could not find any vacant hotels in our price range. So instead we ended up going to St. George in July. (Nice and cool for a 6 month pregnant lady right!) It ended up being one of the coolest weeks they had all summer. The temperature only went to 100 degrees. We had a great trip.
We were able to go to the St. George Temple
