Park City

Travis and I had a great time in Park City. We rarely take pictures and when we got there we realized that we did not even bring our camera. We stayed in a cute bed and breakfast, the Old Town Quest House, that was a few blocks off Main Street. It was still quite cold and it rained.
We went shopping at the outlets and got some great deals!!! Aeropostale had 60% off all clearance items and we went hog wild.
We rode the Alpine Slide and Coaster. The coaster is fairly new and it was awesome!
Overall it was a great getaway. We highly recommend the bed and breakfast. It was a quiet weekend and we were the only ones there. (And the breakfast was great.)

Anniversary

Travis and I have now been married for one whole year!!! Time has flown by. We are both just working away this summer. Travis works at the library on campus and will be helping with basketball camps this summer as well. We sadly are not planning a trip this year, mainly because we are poor. So this weekend to celebrate our first year we are going up to a bed and breakfast in Park City. I wanted to go hiking, but there is still tons of snow in the mountains, so we will most likely just be relaxing and shopping.

Another Race

I ran the Kaysville Junior High 5K with Katie and Paul. I came in first for the Friends of the junior high category! (Because there were not very many.) Paul and Katie both did really well. We are going to have to run more races together. As you can see by the last picture I am definately the shortest in my family now. My mom recently sent pictures of Katie and Paul to Ryan and Julie. Neither of them recognized Paul. He has really grown and thinned out. Julie will be home in the end of June!

Book Tag

I was tagged by my sister-in-law, Brittney.

Rules:
1. Open nearest book.
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Record sentence five.

"Certainly," said Fanny, with gentle earnestness.

I love Jane Austen. When Travis found this out he checked out the only two books she wrote, that I have not read, from the school library. This quote is from Mansfield Park. We have been recording all the new Masterpiece Series (remade Jane Austen movies on PBS). I wish Travis would watch them with me, but he just falls asleep. So this is a hobby that I have to do on my own.

Half Marathon

I ran a half marathon in Ogden Canyon on Saturday. Now I can take a break from running, because I am burned out. I got my best time ever, 2:00:55. That beat my last time by 5 minutes. I wanted to get under 2 hours, but I did not train very well after going to Vegas. I did great for the first seven miles, they were all at an eight minutes/mile pace. Then I was feeling tired. Since I barely missed my goal I am going to have to run another half again someday. In these pictures I look like I'm not going to make it, but isn't running so fun! I am having a hard time walking today and am so glad that it was conference, so I did not have to move off the couch all day.

Rodeo

Travis and I went to the Pocatello Rodeo last Saturday night. This first picture shows the winner of the mutton bustin. It was a seven year old girl and she held on tight! Everyone was bucked off the bulls in the finals. Pocatello really is not that far of a drive from Salt Lake. We ate dinner with Travis's relatives at the Texas Roadhouse. That is our new favorite place. The prime rib was awesome and the rolls have a honey glaze on them. Good food!

Vegas

Travis and I did make it to Vegas after all. We ended up staying with his aunt that lives about 20 minutes from the strip. We watched lots of basketball and the U actually did fairly well. They won their first game and then lost to UNLV. We were able to sit on the fourth row and Travis was thrilled. Since we rarely ever use our camera, we only took picture of the games. The cheerleading extravaganza was awesome. BYU and the U definitely had the best cheerleading teams. The other schools teams mainly consisted of girls and performed stunts that I did in junior high.

We spent lots of time shopping, but sadly did not find any good deals. It was nice weather in Vegas, but a little windy. I wore shorts and flip-flops. I did not change for the drive home, and it ended up snowing in Salt Lake! I am so ready for Spring!
